SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Requirements for Submissions

1. Use a shutter speed that is twice the frame rate. For example, if you're shooting at 24 frames per second, set your shutter speed to 1/48 or 1/50. This will create a natural-looking motion blur.
2. Use a low aperture (f/2.8 or lower) to achieve a shallow depth of field, which can help focus the viewer's attention on the subject and create a cinematic look.
3. Adjust the ISO to achieve the desired exposure while avoiding too much noise or grain in the image. In general, try to keep the ISO as low as possible, but don't be afraid to increase it if necessary.
4. Shoot in a flat or log picture profile to preserve as much dynamic range as possible. This will give us more flexibility in color grading and post-production.
5. Use a neutral density (ND) filter to control the amount of light entering the lens and avoid overexposure, especially in bright outdoor settings.
6. Shoot in 4K resolution ONLY. 
7. Use a tripod or stabilizer to keep the camera steady and avoid shaky footage during the interview portion. Additional footage can be handheld but avoid shakiness. A gimbal is preferred for additional footage. 
8. Use and external microphone to record audio. This would be a lapel or a boom mic. 
9. Ensure the background has a clean and aesthetically pleasing look and feel. 
10. Lighting is very important. Use a two or three point lighting set up. To avoid harsh lighting use a defuser if needed.
